terrible snow storm. The weather delayed flights and left The Metropolitan
Opera without their lead. Responding to their desperate cries for a true
soprano, Gilly Rose ran over and set a world record for sustaining a high-C
for 35 full minutes. As always, her trusty blanket attended for moral
support.
