Rose.  She realized for the first time that her skill at impersonation and
humor translated well into the rough-streets of the rap world.

Though the exchange was censored, the world knew something happened
when Ms. Latifah gave up rap to sell Ma
ybelline door-to-door.  Asked years
later about the incident, Latifah recalled, "It wasn't just being schooled by
an infant, it was like being sucker-punched by your own mama.  That is how
well she dissed me."  

Gilly would go on to star in a string of movies chronicling famous rap stars;

And last, but certainly not least, Vanilla Ice.
While these portrayals won the hearts and minds of her fans, Gillian
lost the taste for the street life when she caught Fitty Cent watching
Steel Magnolias.  Still the thugs out West lamented the loss of their
"short stack", toughest boo evah.

With that, Gillian moved on
